Help tailor the future of transport in the Mid-Western region

The residents of the Mid-Western Region are invited to have their say on local transport services when Transport for NSW hosts a regional community forum next month.

Transport for NSW Regional Director West Alistair Lunn said a series of forums were being held across regional NSW to determine the needs of local communities.

“We want to hear from residents, community representatives, local service providers and other interested groups about what you need and how we can deliver transport services suitable for the community to make your journeys safer, more accessible and easier,” Mr Lunn said.

“To do this, we should better understand our communities so we can deliver tailored transport services and solutions, and we are coming to do this in Mudgee.

“Our main focus is to hold constructive, two-way conversations with community members and stakeholders where we listen to their needs and concerns, so together we can plan for their future transport needs.

“We will also provide attendees with insight into how Transport for NSW is structured and who, from our organisation can be contacted if they need information on local matters.”

The Mid-Western Regional Forum will be held on Wednesday 26 July at Club Mudgee at 99 Mortimer Street.

“Transport is committed to developing our community partnering capability, by working closely with local communities to deliver multi-modal transport solutions and outcomes for regional NSW communities,” Mr Lunn said.

“Essentially, we want you to tell us the needs of your community so we can make journeys safer, easier and more reliable for everyone.”
