Transport for NSW will carry out work from this month to repair four sections of Lawrence Hargrave Drive following landslips in 2022.

The NSW Government provided $500,000 as part of the Natural Disaster Recovery program for this repair work.

Transport for NSW Regional Director South Sam Knight said, the four sites for this round of work in Stanwell Park, two locations in Clifton and Scarborough were part of a total of 27 sites to be repaired due to damage in 2022 and 2023.

“Repair work has already been carried out at eight landslip sites, and we are about to complete another four where detailed investigation work has helped inform the complex repairs,” Ms Knight said.

“We will be using a total of 58 soil nails and 30 cubic metres of shotcrete across the four sites to repair this landslip damage.”

Work will be carried out from 7am to 5pm on weekdays for three weeks from 30 October at Stanwell Park, then at Clifton for three weeks from 17 November and finally one week at Scarborough starting 7 December. Final site repairs are expected to be completed by 15 December.

Changed traffic conditions including single lane closures and traffic control, and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place during work hours for the safety of workers and motorists.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, allow up to five minutes additional travel time and follow the direction of signs and traffic control.
