Night work on Hume Motorway at Wilton

Published

Motorists are advised of changed traffic conditions on Hume Motorway northbound at Wilton for road repair and resurfacing work next week.

Work will take place on Hume Motorway northbound from the Picton Road interchange to the southern structure of Moolgun Creek Bridge over Allens Creek in Wilton.

There will be a total of seven nights shifts from Sunday 18 February to Monday 4 March, between 7.30pm to 4am, weather permitting.

There will be no work on Friday and Saturday night.

Single lane closures and a reduced speed of 40 km/h will be in place on the Hume Motorway for the safety of workers and road users.

On Sunday 18 February the northbound on ramp from Picton Road to the Hume Motorway will be closed during the work to pave the merge lane. A detour will be in place via the southbound on ramp, via Avon Dam Road and will add an additional 15 minutes to travel time.

If there are any unforeseen reasons where and why we are unable to conduct the work on the 18 February, the contingency date for the works is Sunday 25 February.

Motorists should allow for additional travel time, drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic controllers.

Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
