Nighttime closure on Elizabeth Drive, Cecil Park

Update - There are now new work dates - Friday 15 August 2025, from 9pm to 5am with contingency on Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 August 2025. 

 

Road users are advised of changed traffic conditions on Elizabeth Drive at night on Wednesday 13 August 2025, from 9pm to 5am. If work does not take place on Wednesday 13 August 2025, it will be completed between 9pmThursday 14 August and 5am Friday 15 August 2025.

During this time, we will: 

  • close Elizabeth Drive in both directions between Wallgrove Road and the M7 Motorway northbound off-ramp to Elizabeth Drive
  • reduce the speed limit to 40km/h near the work site.

Detour routes will be via Cowpasture Road, The Horsley Drive and Wallgrove Road.  Oversized vehicles must use alternate routes – see map on the next page.

Vehicles travelling under a permit must not travel off the approved route listed in their permit unless an updated permit is obtained from the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR).

Please keep to the speed limits and follow the direction of traffic controllers and signs.
