Not just roads: Transport shares its message at Australian National Field Days

Transport for NSW will take its safety message to the people when it hosts an information stall at the Australian National Field Days (ANFD) at Borenore this week.
The ANFD is Australia’s oldest annual agricultural exhibition, celebrating its 70th birthday this year.
The field days attract hundreds of exhibitors from the private and government sectors, keen to share their stories and products with the thousands of attendees that walk through the gates each year.
“The Australian National Field Days provide an incredible opportunity to connect with thousands of primary producers, business owners, government organisations and residents from right across rural Australia,” Transport for NSW Acting Regional Director West Damien Pfeiffer said.
“Transport for NSW is proud to again be a part of this incredible celebration of country life.
“Transport will be hosting an information stall over the three days of the ANFD and we encourage everyone to come along, take a look at our displays and ask any questions they might have for our staff.”
The Transport for NSW stall will include information on:
Truck awareness: Learn more about road safety around trucks’ blind spots.
Level crossing safety: Featuring a car that has been in a level crossing crash along with staff promoting safety messages around level crossings.
Maritime: With a jet ski on display and members of our maritime team there to talk about safety and the rules and regulations on our waterways.
General information around the 16 Cities program and other local projects.
“Transport for NSW looks after much more than just roads and this is a great opportunity for us to introduce people to our full range of programs,” Mr Pfeiffer said.
“We look forward to sharing our message at the Australian National Field Days.”
The Australian National Field Days will be held at 563 Borenore Road, Borenore (about 15 kilometres west of Orange) from Thursday 26 October to Saturday 28 October.
