NSW TrainLink Saturday services altered by essential track maintenance

Published
NSW TrainLink is advising customers on the Southern Highlands rail line of service impacts over the next seven Saturdays (15 October – 26 November) due to trackwork.

Track repairs and maintenance is being undertaken by the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) to improve reliability and on-time running of services across the network.

To carry out this work, the line will be closed between Macarthur and Moss Vale from 10am to 4pm on Saturdays over seven weeks.

The work will affect six intercity passenger services between Moss Vale and Campbelltown as well as two regional passenger services between Sydney and Canberra.

Buses will replace services between Campbeltown and Moss Vale with coaches replacing affected services between Sydney and Canberra during the shutdown period.

The ARTC is completing the trackwork during daylight on Saturday as the most efficient way to get the work done on one of the busiest rail corridors in the state.

The schedule has been designed to limit the number of affected customers and freight services to keep inconvenience to a minimum.

Customers should check transportnsw.info and allow extra travel time.

Customers booked on regional services can change their booking by visiting transportnsw.info/regional-bookings or calling 13 22 32.
