Rail Repair Plan changes for Sydney rail network this weekend

Published

Sydney Trains passengers are advised there will be some disruption this long weekend as we carry out the Rail Repair Plan to build a more reliable and resilient network.

Vivid – What to expect:

We are working hard to minimise the impact on passengers travelling to and from Vivid and other events this long weekend. Work will be focused on quieter sections of the network and outside peak periods, however, passengers are encouraged to plan ahead.

To help people get to and from Vivid, additional services into the city are running on the T2, T4 and T8 lines. There’s also extra capacity for trains coming into the city from the Blue Mountains and South Coast.

Customers are advised to plan their journey by visiting transportnsw.info or using the trip planning apps on their mobile devices.

This long weekend, we will have almost 1000 workers across approximately 300 worksites and 150km of track closures, undertaking a significant amount of work including the removal of more than 60 high-priority defects.
