Sydney Harbour Bridge

Up to five lanes on the Sydney Harbour Bridge deck will be closed for maintenance and upgrade works from tonight:

  • Friday 2 June – 11pm to 6am
  • Sunday 4 June – 11pm to 4.30am
  • Monday 5 June – 10pm to 4.30am
  • Tuesday 6 June – 10pm to 4.30am
  • Wednesday 7 June – 10pm to 4.30am
  • Thursday 8 June – 10.30pm to 4:30am

On Sunday 4 June and Wednesday 7 June there will be one northbound lane closed between 8.30pm and 10pm for the Vivid drone show.

Motorists can use the Sydney Harbour Tunnel as an alternative route during these times. There will be a northbound lane closure in the tunnel on Monday 5 June between 11.30pm and 4.30am.

Please drive carefully and follow the directions of signs and traffic crews.

Beep testing ahead of the Sydney Harbour Bridge

Motorists are advised of beep testing on the city southbound approach to the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Harbour Tunnel starting from Monday 5 June.

Transport for NSW has been upgrading and consolidating tolling infrastructure on the city southbound approach to the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Harbour Tunnel for the Warringah Freeway Upgrade.

This is to allow for the widening of the Warringah Freeway and construction of a new dedicated southbound bus lane.

Due to the new locations of the toll points, beep testing is required to calibrate the tolling technology.

Motorists will hear one beep when they are tolled, and another beep for this testing. This will continue for about two months.

Motorists will not be tolled twice.

Surry Hills diversions

Motorists are reminded some road closures are still in place in Surry Hills due to a recent building fire.

Chalmers Street and Randle Street between Cleveland Street and Elizabeth Street remain closed.

Please check Live Traffic NSW for updates as ongoing investigations are expected to take some time.

Rozelle Interchange

Motorists should be aware there will be changes to the City West link eastbound lanes from next Thursday, 8 June.

Those heading towards the city over the Anzac Bridge will need to change to the left lanes earlier, while motorists heading to Victoria Road need to move to the lanes on the right earlier.

Motorists must now make this decision before the intersection of City West Link and The Crescent.
