Sculpture by the Sea – Bondi to Tamarama

Thousands of spectators are expected to flock to Bondi Beach this weekend for the opening of the 25th annual Sculpture by the Sea exhibition.

The event runs from today until Monday 6 November and features striking sculptures installed along the iconic coastal walk between Bondi and Tamarama.

With large crowds, traffic delays expected and very limited parking in the area, the best way to get to and from the event is by public transport.

Trains run regularly to Bondi Junction on the T4 Eastern Suburbs Line where you can change for frequent buses to the beach. Regular route buses also run between the city and Bondi.

Additional buses will run between Bondi Junction and Bondi Beach on weekends.

Remember to tap on and off using an Opal card or contactless payment card/device when using public transport to and from the event.

Special event clearway parking restrictions will be in effect each weekend on roads around the beach, as well as one-way traffic conditions and lane closures around the coastal walk.

Allow extra travel time and plan your trip at transportnsw.info/sculpture-by-the-sea.

Essential trackwork

Passengers are urged to plan ahead this weekend as essential Rail Repair trackwork will take place on parts of the T1 Western, T3 Bankstown, T4 Illawarra and T5 Cumberland Lines.

Buses will replace trains, however, passengers should allow for extra travel time, be prepared for queues at some locations and check specific journey information by visiting transportnsw.info or using trip planning apps.
