Victoria Bridge closure in Picton
There will be changed traffic conditions around Victoria Bridge in Picton from Monday 14 August to Wednesday 16 August to undertake upgrade work.
Victoria Bridge will be closed from 9am to 3pm, Monday to Wednesday, so work to tighten and seal the timber decking on the road can be carried out, weather permitting.
This work will help to reduce noise coming from traffic crossing the bridge.
The bridge will be open to traffic before and after the work schedule.
A stop/slow traffic flow will be in place for one shift on Monday 14 August where traffic controllers will hold cars for 2-3minutes to allow for the work to be undertaken.
From Tuesday 15 August to Wednesday 16 August, the bridge will be temporary closed to traffic and be directed to use the detour route via Argyle Street and Menangle Street.
Motorists are advised to use a detour route via Argyle Street and Menangle Street during the closure.
Pedestrians will continue to have access to the bridge with traffic controllers in place to escort pedestrians through the site as well as assist residents of Victoria Street to access their properties.
Road users are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Thank you for your patience during this time.
