Victoria Bridge closure in Picton

Published

There will be changed traffic conditions around Victoria Bridge in Picton on Wednesday 13 March to conduct an essential inspection.

Victoria Bridge will be closed from 10am to 1pm, Wednesday 13 March 2024, weather permitting, so a detailed structural inspection can be carried out on the deck and timber beams. Outside of these times there will be TfNSW personnel inspecting the bridge underneath.

This work is needed as part of ongoing inspections to ensure the bridge is in sound structural condition.

The bridge will be open to traffic before and after the work schedule.

On Wednesday 13 March, the bridge will be temporary closed to traffic and be directed to use the detour route via Argyle Street and Menangle Street.

Road users are advised to use a detour route via Argyle Street and Menangle Street during the closure.

Pedestrians will continue to have access to the bridge with traffic controllers in place to escort pedestrians through the site as well as assist residents of Victoria Street to access their properties.

Road users are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
