Wednesday Bathurst Bullet returning to usual times

NSW TrainLink is advising passengers using the Bathurst Bullet train service, that from Wednesday 3 April, the timetable will return to its previous unique Wednesday times and will not be aligned with other weekday times.

Temporary timetable changes have been in place for Wednesday services since 15 November 2023 to accommodate a trial by operators of the privately run Indian Pacific.

However, with the trial due to end on March 27, NSW TrainLink is advising passengers who may have used the temporary Wednesday arrangements to be aware that running times will soon revert to the pre-trial timetable.

This will mean some Wednesday services will depart and arrive earlier, or later, and passengers should plan and prepare.

Passengers travelling on the Bathurst Bullet beyond 3 April, particularly on Wednesdays, are reminded to check TripPlanner and other transport apps for up-to-date service times. Please visit https://transportnsw.info/trip#/trip

NSW TrainLink thanks passengers for their patience while the Indian Pacific trial has been underway. From 3 April, the Wednesday Bathurst Bullet service times will be:

  • The morning Lithgow to Bathurst train services departs from Lithgow at 3:42am (WN11) and 6:04am (WN13) and arrives in Bathurst at 04:51am and 07:25am respectively.
  • The early morning service from Bathurst to Sydney Terminal (WN12) departs Bathurst at 5:46 am and arrives at Central at 9:27am.
  • The second morning service from Bathurst to Sydney Terminal (WN14) departs Bathurst at 7:35 am and arrives at Central at 11:46am.
  • The afternoon service from Sydney Terminal to Bathurst (WN15) departs at 3:57pm and arrives at Bathurst at 7:39pm.
  • The second afternoon service from Sydney Terminal to Bathurst (WN17) departs at 5:47pm and arrives at Bathurst at 9:33 pm.
  • The evening Bathurst to Lithgow services depart Bathurst at 8:32pm (WN16) and 10:17pm (WN18), to arrive in Lithgow at 9:39pm and 11:24pm respectively.

Customers travelling on the Wednesday evening Bathurst to Orange coach service (CLK597) will depart Bathurst at 8:00pm.
