Weekend Rail Repair Plan Trackwork

Passengers are urged to plan ahead this weekend, 17-18 February, as essential Rail Repair Plan trackwork continues to build a more resilient and reliable network.

Over the weekend buses will replace trains between Bankstown, Sydenham and Central on the T3 Bankstown Line.

The T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line will see buses replace trains between Hurstville and Central on both Saturday and Sunday. Trains will operate as normal between Bondi Junction and Central.

On Sunday only, from 5.30am to 9.40am, buses replace trains between Cabramatta and Granville on the T2 Leppington and T5 Cumberland lines.

Sydney Trains will have around 685 workers undertaking a significant amount of work to remove 6 high-priority defects over this period.

Some trains may run to changed stopping pattern and timetable. Passengers may need to change trains and are encouraged to allow extra travel time and plan ahead by visiting transportnsw.info or using trip planning apps.

Intercity Services

South Coast line passengers should note that buses will replace all trains between Hurstville and Central all weekend due to the trackwork on the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra line.

On Saturday, from 4.40am to 4pm, buses will replace trains between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Campbelltown on the Southern Highlands Line.

Metro

On the Metro North West Line, buses will replace metro between Tallawong and Chatswood on both Saturday and Sunday.
