Weekend Rail Repair Trackwork Alert

Passengers are urged to plan ahead this weekend, 29-30 June, as essential Rail

Repair Plan trackwork continues to build a more resilient and reliable network.

On Saturday and Sunday, trains on the City Circle will not run to Museum, St James

and Circular Quay. T1 North Shore & Western, T2 Inner West and T9 Northern Lines

trains will continue to run between Central, Town Hall and Wynyard.

On the T2 Inner West & Leppington and T5 Cumberland Lines, buses replace trains

between Leppington and Glenfield all weekend.

Buses also replace T8 Airport & South Line trains between Glenfield, Sydenham and

Central via the Airport.

On the T3 Bankstown Line, trains run between Liverpool or Lidcombe and Redfern

only.

Sydney Trains will have more than 817 workers carrying out a significant amount of

work over this period, including track reconditioning, track circuit upgrade,

resleepering, railing and turnout refurbishment.

Some trains may run to changed stopping pattern and timetable. Passengers may

need to change trains and are encouraged to allow extra travel time and plan ahead

by visiting transportnsw.info or using trip planning apps.

Sydney Trains thanks passengers for their patience as we work to build a more

resilient and reliable network.

Intercity

South Coast Line passengers should note that buses will replace trains between Port

Kembla, Dapto and Waterfall from 3am to 11am on Saturday. Buses will also replace

trains between Bomaderry and Wollongong on Sunday from 2.30am to 9.50am.

On the Southern Highlands Line, from 4.40am to 4pm on Saturday, buses will

replace trains between Goulburn, Moss Vale and Campbelltown.

Metro

Across the weekend, buses will replace services between Tallawong and Chatswood due to planned trackwork and testing for the upcoming Metro extension into the Sydney CBD.
