South Coast Boating Network Plan

The South Coast Boating Network Plan (the Plan) identifies investment opportunities to revamp existing boating infrastructure and services that support marine tourism at 17 of the region’s waterways. The Plan identifies opportunities to expand on existing investments, already underway and funded by the $205 million Maritime Infrastructure Stimulus Program and the Boating Now Program, to maximise the economic and marine tourism potential of these investments along the South Coast.

The Plan complements Transport for NSW’s Maritime Infrastructure Plan 2019–2024 which provides strategic direction on how the government is already prioritising investment in maritime infrastructure across NSW including the South Coast locations at Wollongong, Batemans Bay, Shoalhaven/Jervis Bay and Eden. The medium and longer-term opportunities for waterways identified in the Plan may be considered through programs such as the NSW Government’s Boating Now Program, subject to relevant funding, local consultation, planning and delivery processes.
