The NSW Government is improving accessibility and safety at Coniston Station.

Key benefits

  • installing two new lifts and stairs
  • installing new accessible footpaths
  • two new kiss and ride zones
  • installing three new accessible parking spaces
  • installing CCTV cameras
  • upgrading bathroom amenities to include a family accessible toilet and a unisex toilet
  • connecting the station to bus stops on Gladstone Avenue.

The Safe Accessible Transport program aims to make public transport safer, inclusive and easy to use for all passengers, especially people with disabilities, older people, people with prams or luggage and others who may be experiencing mobility problems.

    Project status

    The first stage of consultation for the Coniston Station Upgrade has now closed. Thank you for your comments. Your feedback is now being considered in the development of the concept design. Once we have a final concept design, the community will have a further opportunity to provide feedback.
