Dubbo Station Upgrade
Project overview
The NSW Government has improved accessibility at Dubbo Station as part of the Transport Access Program, with the project completed in March 2024.
The station precinct is now accessible to people with a disability or limited mobility, parents/carers with prams and customers with luggage.
Key benefits
- upgrades to existing paths and pavements around the station precinct
- a new accessible kiss and ride zone
- modifications to the waiting room and ticket counter, including wheelchair spaces along the seating
- new tactile indicators along the platform
- improvements to lighting and wayfinding.
Latest news
February 2024 – Dubbo Station Upgrade now complete
The Dubbo Station Upgrade is now complete and open to the public. Works included regrading and line marking of the car park, installation of new paving and concrete pavements, replacement of external lighting and installation of new light poles, new tactile indicators along the platform and upgrades to the waiting room and ticket counter including wheelchair spaces alongside the seating.
November 2023 – Temporary closure of public car park
Parking at the station is temporarily closed until late December 2023. These works will allow for the construction and upgrade of the current car park within the station precinct.

Project Status
The Dubbo Station Upgrade is complete, and customers are now able to use the new and improved accessibility features.
