Emergency road repairs in Bankstown, Wiley Park, Lakemba and Belmore
Project overview
Transport for NSW is undertaking urgent road repairs in southwest Sydney to ensure Southwest Link bus services run smoothly and efficiently.
The work includes replacing sections of asphalt, repainting road markings, and will see crews work throughout the night to minimise disruption to road users.
When and where?
From 25 June to 31 July 2025, repairs will be completed on sections of The Boulevarde, Bridge Road, Peel Street and around the Bankstown bus interchange, particularly on South Terrace.
Work at Bankstown Station bus interchange and South Terrace from Monday 14 July.
Temporary bus stop changes will be in place while we carry out road resurfacing work. When we are resurfacing at the Bankstown Station and bus interchange:
- The bus drop and pick up location will be relocated to South Terrace (shown in the map below).
When we are resurfacing on South Terrace:
- The Southwest Link bus drop off and pick up location will be relocated to Bankstown Station Stand A
- The N40 night rider bus drop off and pick up location will be relocated to West Terrace (shown in the map below).

Road closures and bus stops
There will be overnight road closures on parts of The Boulevarde, Bridge Road, Peel Street and around the Bankstown Interchange.
Customers are encouraged to check their travel apps and look for electronic message signs and signage at bus stops for any changes to bus services, including pink buses, during the night work.

- Bankstown: South Terrace, between West Terrace and Restwell Street and around Bankstown Station and bus interchange - 8 Shifts
