Background

The NSW Government has funded the Bus Priority Infrastructure Program. The program aims to improve the reliability of bus services on Sydney’s main bus corridors.

The changes are part of ‘Sydney’s Bus Future’, the NSW Government’s plan to redesign Sydney’s bus network to meet customer needs now and into the future. For more information please visit Sydney's Bus Future.

These changes were developed by Transport for NSW and Roads and Maritime, in consultation with Sydney Buses.

Key outcomes of the proposal

  • Making travel times more reliable for customers
  • Contributing to the NSW Government’s target of 95 per cent on-time running of bus services.

Community engagement

Submissions closed in November 2017

Transport for NSW sought feedback in October and November 2017 on a Review of Environmental Factors for changes to some bus stops along the Parramatta to Hurstville via Chester Hill and Padstow bus corridor. The changes to bus stops in Guildford, Chester Hill, Sefton, Bass Hill and Yagoona are mainly serviced by the Metro bus Route M91.

We received feedback from 80 people and organisations. We would like to thank everyone for their comments. The feedback included comments around access to bus services, additional walking distances and project justification.
