Hume Highway – traffic impacts

Reviewed

Project overview

The Hume is one of Australia's most significant major highways, linking the nation's two largest state capitals - Sydney and Melbourne. Stretching a total distance of more than 800km, the highway provides an important connection for travellers and road freight between the two capital cities.

Transport for NSW is continuously maintaining or upgrading sections of the highway between Sydney and Albury. This work is important to provide a safe and efficient highway for the large number of vehicles that use it daily.

We make every effort to minimise impacts to motorists, however, due to the nature of our work there can be unavoidable cumulative delays. Motorists are reminded to plan their journey as travel times may be longer because of work zone speed limits and temporary traffic arrangements. Please plan for minor delays and be patient on the roads.
