Menangle Road Upgrade

Work is underway to investigate potential opportunities to upgrade Menangle Road.

Between Tuesday 6 December 2022 and Sunday 5 March 2023, geotechnical and utility investigations will take place to determine the underlying ground conditions to inform the design process.  Work will pause during the Christmas shutdown period between Saturday 24 December 2022 and Sunday 8 January 2023.

We will be working standard construction hours between 7am to 6pm Mondays to Fridays, and 8am to 1pm Saturdays.   

From time to time, work on Sundays and at night will also be required between 8pm and 5am, weather permitting.

To minimise impacts to traffic and to ensure the safety of workers and road users, night work will take place on Menangle Road and will involve temporary changes to traffic. These changes will include:

• Temporary lane closures of one to two lanes to enable line marking and barrier placement.
• Temporary speed limit reduction to 40km/h throughout the duration of the night work,

Electronic signage will advise road users of these changes. Please keep to the reduced speed limit and follow the directions of traffic controllers and signs.

The upgrade aims to provide a support growth in the region, and complement other infrastructure projects in the area such as the Spring Farm Parkway.
