Project overview

Transport for NSW is developing plans to build a formal roundabout in the Dorrigo town centre to improve traffic flow and road user safety.

Latest news

Oct 2019 - New roundabout

We are working with Bellingen Shire Council on the design of a formal roundabout to go around the cenotaph at the intersection of Waterfall Way and Hickory Street.

The roundabout will provide significant safety improvements for pedestrians, cyclists, mobility scooter users and motorists in the central business area.

The roundabout will be built by council and is part of a $50 million package of road and safety improvements that will be rolled out on the Waterfall Way between Raleigh and Dorrigo. Details of other projects will be provided as plans are formalised.

Transport for NSW recognises the historic and cultural value of the cenotaph and it will be retained in the centre of the intersection at the completion of the work.
