Pennant Hills, Thornleigh, Normanhurst & Hornsby

Reviewed

Project overview

Transport for NSW is improving bus ontime running along the Hornsby to Blacktown via Castle Hill bus corridor.

Project information

Background

The NSW Government has fully funded the Bus Priority Infrastructure Program. The program aims to improve the reliability of bus services on Sydney’s main bus corridors.

The proposed changes are part of ‘Sydney’s Bus Future’, the NSW Government’s plan to redesign Sydney’s bus network to meet customer needs now and into the future. For more information please visit Sydney's Bus Future.

These changes have been developed by Transport for NSW, in consultation with Sydney Buses.

Key outcomes of the proposal

  • Making travel times more reliable for customers
  • Contributing to the NSW Government’s target of 95 per cent on-time running of bus services

What happens next?

We will consider all feedback and respond in a submissions report, which will be available early next year.

We will continue to liaise with the community throughout the project.

Community information

Community feedback

Transport for NSW are seeking feedback by Monday 25 September 2017 on a Review of Environmental Factors for changes to some bus stops along the Hornsby to Blacktown via Castle Hill bus corridor. The proposed changed bus stops in Pennant Hills, Thornleigh, Normanhurst and Hornsby are mainly serviced by route M60. These changes would be on:

  • Pennant Hills Road in Pennant Hills, Thornleigh, Normanhurst
  • Pacific Highway in Hornsby

We have included detailed maps to help explain these changes to bus stops in our community update.

For more information, please view or download the August 2017 community update (PDF, 2.27Mb).

Community engagement

We have assessed the environmental impacts of these changes in a report of findings called a Review of Environmental Factors (REF). It will be on public display from Monday 28 August to Monday 25 September 2017.

Please view or download:

We welcome your written comments on the proposed changes and the REF by Monday 25 September 2017.
