Background
The Summerland Way is an important route connecting Grafton, Casino and Kyogle to the Mt Lindesay Highway. Heavy vehicles from Warwick and Beaudesert use this route to access Casino.
Transport for NSW strategy for the Summerland Way has been to provide funding for maintaining, rehabilitating, widening, improving the alignment and replacing a number of bridges in order to provide a consistent two lane, sealed road with overtaking lanes to the Queensland border.
