Tenterfield heavy vehicle bypass
Project overview
Transport for NSW has been planning a proposed future heavy vehicle bypass of the Tenterfield town centre.
The proposed bypass would include about 4.5 kilometres of new road starting north of Tenterfield Creek Bridge, running west of the railway corridor and rejoining the existing New England Highway near Cowper Street, north of Tenterfield.
Transport has consulted with the community and developed a concept design and review of environmental factors. This work completes the planning phase of the project.
