Project overview

The Hills Shire Council, City of Parramatta Council and Transport for NSW have worked in partnership to provide additional commuter car parking spaces in Junction Road.

Work is now complete, delivering 150 new commuter parking spaces for customers using public transport along the M2 Motorway at Winston Hills.

Stage one provided 120 parking spaces, with stage 2 delivering an additional 30 parking spaces, increasing the total new spaces to 150.

The project is part of the NSW Government’s Commuter Car Park Program, providing you with more convenient access to public transport at key interchanges and helping to ease congestion on our roads.

Opening event

On Wednesday 15 December, Transport for NSW hosted the opening event for the Winston Hills Commuter Car Park. Supported by our delivery partners The Hills Shire Council and The City of Parramatta Council, we welcomed the Member for Seven Hills, Mark Taylor to celebrate the new commuter car park.

The NSW Government funded project has delivered 120 new car park spaces on Junction Road, between Romulus Street and Hillcrest Avenue, making access to the bus service easier for residents who travel along the M2 Motorway to and from Winston Hills.

As part of stage one of the project, improvements were also made to the pavement, kerb, footpath and landscaping.

Stage two, which is currently underway, will include improved accessibility to parking on Junction Road between Hillcrest Avenue and Bellotti Avenue, and around 30 additional commuter car spaces, as well as important pedestrian links.
