Woodstock Avenue, Mt Druitt indented bus bay

The NSW Government’s Bus Priority Infrastructure Program is improving the reliability and efficiency of bus services, while easing congestion for all road users.

The bus stop located on Woodstock Avenue, Mt Druitt, just before Carew Street (ID 2770106) becomes muddy and hard to access in rainy weather making it difficult for passengers when they get on or off the bus. 

The proposed indented bus bay, concrete stand, footpath, landscaping and lighting will make the bus stop safer and more accessible for passengers.

The indented bus bay and associated work will:

• improve passenger access to the bus stop
• improve safety for passengers getting on and off buses 
• improve traffic flow along Woodstock Avenue as buses will be able to pull out of the traffic lane and into the bus bay.

Transport will create an indented bus bay on Woodstock Avenue just before Carew Street where the current bus stop (ID 2770106) is located. 

As part of this work, Transport will also: 

• install a concrete waiting area for passengers 
• create a footpath leading from the existing footpath along Woodstock Avenue to the bus stop; and 
• improve lighting and landscaping.

Transport would like to hear your feedback on the proposal between Monday 4 November 2024 to Sunday 17 November 2024.

After this consultation period, Transport will carefully review all feedback and a consultation report will be released to summarise the comments received, our responses and the next steps for the proposal.
