Transport for NSW, along with other government agencies, has recognised the growing need to transition towards more digital solutions.  

The Digital-by-Default approach ensures that technology and data are always assessed at early stages of identifying options for Transport solutions, alongside policy, services and infrastructure. 

This approach enables technology to be better planned, prioritised and invested in from the start of new program development, rather than added at a later stage and at greater cost. 

Currently, we are updating our frameworks and governance processes to ensure the most efficient and effective combination of digital and non-digital technologies are selected and progressed from early stages.
