The Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies (ITLS) is located within the University of Sydney Business School. It is a renowned centre of thought leadership in the areas of transport, infrastructure, logistics and supply chain management.

The longstanding partnership between TfNSW and ITLS has included a range of collaborative activities that contribute to improving the delivery of transport benefits to the community at large. In particular, the ITLS Chair of Public Transport was established to direct the overall program of public transport research, education, and training.
