Transport for NSW exhibits development applications in accordance with Schedule 1 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 (the Act).

Unless otherwise stated, development applications on exhibition are not designated development.

Description of developmentProposed installation of a public artwork within Watermans Cove, Barangaroo South, in the Darling Harbour waterway. The artwork is titled Monuments for Fishes, is by the artist Mikala Dwyer, and will comprise five (5) fishing float like sculptures and will be embedded into the seabed.

Commenting on a development application

Anyone can make a submission. Submissions must be in writing and received by Transport for NSW within the exhibition period by one of the methods below.

Your submission must include:

  • The development application reference number (e.g. DA23xxxxxxx);
  • Reason for the submission;
  • Contact details for the person(s) making the submission or head petitioner;
  • A completed Political Donations and Gifts Disclosure Statement (PDF, 355.64 KB) if you or an associate have made a reportable political donation or gift within the period commencing 2 years before the submission is made, and ending when the application is determined (see Section 10.4 of the Act).

Anonymous submissions will not be considered.

All submissions made are open access information under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009. Further, In the interests of transparency, submissions in their entirety will be available to the applicant and other interested persons via the NSW Planning Portal.

In accordance with the provisions of the Act, Transport for NSW will consider the merit of all valid submissions received as part of its assessment of the application. Transport for NSW will advise submitters (or the head petitioner) of the determination in writing.

  1. All DA documentation is for viewing only. Duplication or reproduction or distribution of any DA documentation by way of photography, video, or any other recording device is NOT permitted.

  2. The DA documentation must only be viewed in the reception area of the Transport for NSW Rozelle Office (Ground floor, 33 James Craig Road, Rozelle). No documentation relating to this DA shall be removed from the premises.

  3. The DA documentation must be returned to a Transport for NSW staff member at the Rozelle Concierge Desk.
