The proposed improvements have been designed in response to community feedback received in June 2021.

    • Argyle Street and Kirkham Street

    • Argyle Street and Lackey Road

    • Argyle Street and Arthur Street

  • installing pedestrian refuges to make crossing Argyle Street safer for pedestrians at:

    • Argyle Street between Lackey Road and Railway Street

    • Argyle Street near Dalys Way

  • installing a traffic signal and pedestrian crossings at the Waite Street intersection and removing the crossing 50 metres south bound, along Argyle Street

Transport sought feedback in late-2023 for the proposed improvements to traffic and pedestrian safety on Argyle Street. Key themes from feedback received included impacts to local business as a result of reduced parking, pedestrian safety with the removal of the pedestrian crossing, and traffic flow on the local road network. Transport will keep the community informed and continue to engage with local stakeholders as we progress through the design phase of the improvements. A Consultation Summary Report (PDF, 5.58 MB) has been published for the information of the community.

Community consultation

In November 2023, Transport for NSW sought feedback on the proposed Argyle Street traffic and pedestrian improvements. Community feedback received will be used to help inform the project’s development and detailed design phase. Transport will keep the community informed as we progress through the design phase of the improvements.  Community feedback can be viewed in the Consultation Summary Report (PDF, 5.58 MB).

In June 2021, the community was invited to provide feedback on early design considerations for areas in need of improvement across the Moss Vale town centre. Feedback received from the community, key stakeholder groups and transport customers has helped progress a preferred option for the Argyle Street improvements and the station upgrade.
