Bus changes across South West Sydney
Project overview
As part of Transport’s plan to deliver a better bus network, we are looking for ways to improve bus journeys across South West Sydney.
This includes additional services on key routes, more seats, timetable changes, and route changes to help provide a better-connected public transport experience.

Upcoming bus changes
From Sunday 14 September, there will be timetable changes to improve running times in Sydney’s’ South West.
What’s changing?
New bus timetables will be introduced across parts of South West Sydney to enhance reliability and connectivity. These changes aim to improve the running times for bus services and strengthen connections between bus and train services in key areas.
Key changes include:
- timetable changes: 901, 902, 902X, 904, 905, 906, 907, 908, 909, 911, 913, 914, 916, 925, M90, M91, S1, S3 and S5
- additional weekend services: 905.
There will also be changes to several dedicated school bus services. Transport and our bus operators are working closely with schools that may be impacted by these changes, to ensure students and their communities are aware of the changes, and how they need to adjust their journeys. We encourage students to plan before they travel.

Changes to bus Route 850
From Sunday 31 August, there will be minor timetable and stopping pattern changes to bus route 850 to improve the on time running and reliability of the service.
Bus route 850 will no longer operate via Gregory Hills Drive to Gregory Hills Town Centre, instead it will operate via Camden Valley Way providing customers with a more efficient trip.
Alternative bus routes operating via Gregory Hills Drive and Town Centre include:
- For travel to Minto, passengers can travel to Campbelltown Station via Route 840 and change to the T8 South and Airport Line.
- For travel between Oran Park and Gregory Hills, passengers can use bus Route 840.
- For travel to Narellan passengers can use bus route 841.
Passengers wishing to continue to other destinations on bus route 850, can instead use bus route 840 to the stop on Oran Park Drive after Camden Valley Way and change to bus route 850.

Bus changes
On Monday 28 April 2025, there will be bus changes designed to provide passengers in South West Sydney with better connections and a more reliable bus network.
This includes timetable changes and a route adjustment to make it easier for customers interchanging with other bus routes and to offer a smoother combined commute.
What’s changing?
Bus services in South West Sydney are being adjusted to better align to the community’s public transport needs.
The changes will enhance the passenger experience across the network, improve reliability, capacity and connections to other modes such as trains and Sydney Metro.
Key changes include:
- route change to 960 Sutherland to Bankstown
- timetable changes on 450, 920 and 960.
