Background

The NSW Government has funded the Bus Priority Infrastructure Program. The program aims to improve the reliability of bus services on Sydney’s main bus corridors.

The changes are part of ‘Sydney’s Bus Future’, the NSW Government’s plan to redesign Sydney’s bus network to meet customer needs now and into the future. For more information please visit Sydney's Bus Future.

These changes were developed by Transport for NSW and Roads and Maritime, in consultation with Sydney Buses. Local councils were consulted as part of the early planning work.

Key outcomes of the proposal

  • Making travel times more reliable for customers
  • Contributing to the NSW Government’s target of 95 per cent on-time running of bus services.

Community engagement

Submissions have now closed.

Road and Maritime Services invited feedback in May and June 2017 on improving the on-time running along the Castle Hill to M2 Motorway bus corridor.

We received a total of 99 submissions in response to the display of the Review of Environmental Factors (REF). We would like to thank everyone for their comments. The feedback included comments about access, additional walking distances, decreased pedestrian safety and overall justification.

Roads and Maritime summarised the feedback, concerns raised and our responses into a November 2017 submissions report (PDF, 1.87Mb).
