Reviewed

Project overview

Transport for NSW will carry out drilling and investigation work at Crossley Bridge from Monday 18 October to inform the Crossley Bridge replacement project.

Location of work at Crossley Bridge, Sofala map

The work will involve drilling a number of boreholes within the waterway of the Turon River to investigate foundation options for the Crossley Bridge replacement. Following the drilling, pavement investigation work will occur, with changed traffic conditions. The map above shows the location of work.

How will the work affect you?

Drilling work will involve the use of machinery, which generates some noise. We will make every effort to minimise noise by turning off plant and machinery when not in use.

Traffic changes

During the pavement investigation work, there will be some temporary traffic changes to ensure the safety of our workers and all road users including single lane closures, a reduced speed limit and traffic control.

Please keep to speed limits and follow the direction of traffic controllers and signs. For the latest traffic updates, you can call 132 701, visit livetraffic.com or download the Live Traffic NSW App.

Covid-19

Work crews will be adhering to strict Covid-19 protocols with approved Covid-19 safety plans in place for each shift. The program of work is subject to change in response to any further government restrictions that may be put in place to manage Covid-19.
