Changed traffic conditions on the Mitchell Highway - Notifications - West Region Projects

Reviewed

Project overview

Transport for NSW is advising motorists of electrical relocations and power outages.

Changed traffic conditions on the Mitchell Highway map

Transport for NSW will be carrying out the work which includes replacement of an electrical substation and relocation of existing above ground powerlines.

To enable safe completion of this work, the Mitchell Highway eastbound lane will be closed on Tuesday 11 May between the hours of 8pm and 6am with a detour in place.

How will the work affect you?

Eastbound vehicle movements will be detoured via the Emilie Serisier Bridge. Pedestrian walkways will remain open with cyclists encouraged to dismount.

Emergency vehicle access will be maintained.

There will be some noise and lighting generated by this work, we will make every effort to minimise these impacts.

Traffic changes

Motorists should plan their trip, allow extra travel time and follow the direction of traffic control and signs, including reduced speed limits.

Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.

For the latest traffic updates download the Live Traffic NSW App, visit the Live Traffic NSW website or call 132 701.
