Changed traffic conditions on the Mitchell Highway - Notifications - West Region Projects

Reviewed

Project overview

The NSW Government is funding essential maintenance work on the Mitchell Highway five kilometres west of Bathurst.

Transport for NSW will carry out the work, which involves essential emergency pavement repairs to provide a smooth surface for motorists. We have included a map to show the location of the project work.

We will be working between 7pm and 5am on Friday 2 September and expect it to take one night to complete, weather permitting. We will let you know in advance if we need to do any work outside these times.

How will the work affect you?

The work will involve the use of machinery which generates some noise. We will make every effort to minimise noise by turning off machinery and vehicles when not in use.

Traffic changes

There will be some temporary traffic changes to ensure the work zone is safe.Intermittent stopping and reduced speed limits will be in place for the safety of motorists and workers. Motorists are advised to allow an additional five minutes travel time.

Please keep to speed limits and follow the direction of traffic control and signs. For the latest traffic updates, you can call 132 701, visit livetraffic.com or download the Live Traffic NSW App.
