Project overview
Motorists are advised recent flooding will result in an extended closure of Jenolan Caves Road with no access into the Jenolan Caves precinct for the safety of all road users.
Geotechnical assessments are being carried out to assess the roadside slope impacts of the latest rain event which has compounded the damage caused by bushfires in 2019 and an extreme weather event in March 2021.
Crews are also removing debris from the road. Local traffic has access via a single lane under traffic control through Hampton.
Transport for NSW thanks road users for their patience as crews carry out this vital work. Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
