Latest news
Jun 2022 - Noise treatment work inspections to start
Transport for NSW is planning to start noise treatment work at some businesses and residences in Moama’s Francis Street.
The project follows consultation with property owners last year around the installation of traffic lights at the Cobb Highway intersection as part of the Echuca-Moama Bridge project.
Transport has appointed a contractor to carry out the noise treatment work.
Project Manager with Master Building Solutions Pty Ltd, Michael Comito, and noise advisory consultant, James Dunstan, will be in contact soon to book a site inspection.
Inspections and pre-work checks are planned to start mid-July with physical work to follow after materials are ordered and delivered to site.
Transport expects work to be finished in November 2022, weather permitting and subject to availability of materials.
Property owners will be kept updated if this schedule changes.
Any questions on the project can be directed to Project Manager Nirupa Widyaratne on 0408 182 402 or by emailing nirupa.widyaratne@transport.nsw.gov.au
Project information
Background
The new Echuca-Moama Bridge project will be built in four stages:
- Murray Valley Highway and Warren Street roundabout (Victoria, completed in mid-2018)

- Upgrades to the Cobb Highway, Meninya Street and Perricoota Road intersections (NSW).
The bridge and Victorian intersection works are being project managed by Major Road Projects Victoria with support from Transport for NSW.
The Moama intersection upgrade is being project managed by Transport for NSW.

As part of stage one of the project, Major Road Projects Victoria completed a new roundabout at the Murray Valley Highway and Warren Street intersection in mid-2018.
In November 2019, Major Road Projects Victoria completed stage two of the project, which involved the upgrade of Warren Street.
