Latest news

July 2023 - Feedback closed on proposed safety improvements

Feedback has now closed on the proposed safety improvements at the Hume Highway intersection with Conroy Street at Bookham.

Thank you to all those who submitted their feedback. We are now reviewing all comments received. All feedback will be responded to in a feedback summary report that will be released in the coming months.

The proposed changes include removing access to vehicles turning right on the highway’s northbound lanes directly from Conroy Street and installing a U-turn bay on the southbound carriageway.

This improves safety by eliminating the potential for queued traffic in the median, and removing confusion for unfamiliar road users.
