Mitchell Highway night work at The Rocks extended - Notifications - West Region Projects
Project overview
The NSW Government is funding essential maintenance works between Mary’s Lane and The Rocks to provide a stronger, longer lasting and safer road.
Transport for NSW will continue to carry out night works over the coming week, which includes repairing and replacing the road surface. We have included a map to show the location of the project.
We will be working between 7 pm and 7 am from Sunday 28 August to Friday 2 September and expect to complete the work in six nights, weather permitting. We will let you know in advance if we need to do any work outside these times.
How will the work affect you?
The work will involve the use of machinery which generates some noise. We will make every effort to minimise noise by completing noisier activities earlier in the night and turning off machinery and vehicles when not in use.
Traffic changes
There will be some temporary traffic changes to ensure the work zone is safe.
During work hours, all traffic will be diverted on the Mid Western Highway via Blayney which will add an additional 15 minutes to travel times.
