Project information

Background

Transport for NSW has previously conducted initial development for a future potential upgrade of Manns Road and the Pacific Highway between Parsons Road at Lisarow and Narara Creek Road at Narara.

This previous development has included investigations, design and community consultation. From this work the preferred route for the upgrade of the Pacific Highway between Narara and Lisarow was determined to be along the existing highway.

Benefits

Key benefits of the preferred option once completed include:

  • Improved traffic flow and more consistent travel times on the Pacific Highway and Manns Road
  • Improved access to connecting roads
  • Improved safety for all road users
  • Improved pedestrian and cycle network.

Key features

  • Upgraded intersections (including new traffic lights at a number of key intersections) and road alignment to improve safety and performance
  • New bridges along Manns Road over Narara Creek and the railway line
  • Improved pedestrian and cycle paths along the Pacific Highway and Manns Road
  • Improved bus stop facilities
