Night work Great Western Highway 12 May 2022 - Notifications - West Region Projects
Project overview
The NSW Government is funding this essential maintenance work on the Great Western Highway to provide a stronger, longer lasting and safer road.
Transport for NSW will carry out the work, which involves the repair of wire rope safety barriers in the centre of the road, and vegetation control. We have included a map to show the location of the work.
Work will take place between 6pm and 6am on Thursday, 12 May, and we expect to complete this work in one night, weather permitting. We will let you know in advance if we need to do any work outside these
times.
Traffic changes
There will be some temporary traffic changes to ensure the work zone is safe.
Single lane closures, intermittent stopping and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.

How will the work affect you?
The work will involve the use of machinery which generates some noise. We will make every effort to minimise noise turning off machinery and vehicles when not in use.
Access for residents and emergency service vehicles will be maintained.
