Night work on the GWH, Mount Lambie - Notifications - West Region Projects

Reviewed

Project overview

The NSW Government is funding this essential maintenance work on the Great Western Highway, to provide a stronger, longer lasting and safer road.

Transport for NSW will carry out the work, which includes removing the existing road surface and replacing it with asphalt. We have included a map to show the location of the work.

Work will be taking place between 7pm and 6am, Sunday to Thursday from Sunday, 30 January, and we expect to complete this work in three weeks, weather permitting. We will let you know in advance if we need to do any work outside these times.

Traffic changes

There will be some temporary traffic changes to ensure the work zone is safe.

Single lane closures, intermittent stopping and a reduced speed limit of 40 km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.

Please keep to speed limits and follow the direction of traffic controllers and signs. Motorists should allow an extra five minutes travel time. For the latest traffic updates, you can call 132 701, visit livetraffic.com or download the Live Traffic NSW App.

How will the work affect you?

The work will involve the use of machinery which generates some noise. We will make every effort to minimise noise turning off machinery and vehicles when not in use.
