Night work on the Mitchell Highway - Notifications - West Region Projects
Project overview
The NSW Government is funding essential maintenance work between Lone Pine Avenue and Elizabeth Street to provide a stronger, longer lasting road.

Transport for NSW is carrying out the work, which includes removing and replacing the road surface and line marking. The map above shows where the work will be carried out.
How will the work affect you?
The work will involve the use of machinery which generates some noise. We will make every effort to minimise noise by arranging the work in stages at different locations, completing noisier activities earlier in the night and turning off machinery and vehicles when not in use.
Traffic changes
There will be some temporary traffic changes to ensure the work zone is safe.
Traffic control, single lane closures, intermittent stopping and reduced speed limits will be in place for the safety of motorists and workers.
Property access will be maintained during work hours, however parking will not be available on the Mitchell Highway.
