Nowra Bridge opening event

You’re invited to take part in an opening event on Thursday 23 February.

Join us from 5:30pm for a 6:00pm opening ceremony.

The community is invited to begin the walk across the bridge from both the northern and southern sides of the Shoalhaven River.

There will be two entry points for the walk.

From the northern side:

• enter at Illaroo Road: near the roundabout at Fairway Drive; or
• at the traffic lights intersection on the Princes Highway.

From the southern side:

• enter on Bridge Road near the corner of Scenic Drive.

Signage will be installed prior to the event to assist the community with directions.

We encourage everyone to walk, ride or catch a free shuttle bus to the event as parking nearby is limited.

We’ll be running free shuttle buses through Bomaderry, North Nowra and Nowra CBD to make it easier for the community to access the event.

Shuttle buses will run from 5pm to 8pm, and will pick up from event bus stops approximately every 10 minutes. Event bus stops will be signposted with ‘Nowra Bridge Opening Event’.

Multiple buses will run on each loop and continue throughout the evening to ensure everyone can get to and from the event with ease. At least one bus on each route will be accessible for those with reduced mobility or prams.
