Oct 2019 - No stopping hours

The NSW Government is proposing to install new weekday and weekend No Stopping on the Pacific Highway between Merriwa Street and Ryde Road, Gordon.

The new No Stopping hours will help ease congestion for northbound motorists and public transport users by making all lanes available to traffic. This will have an immediate positive impact on traffic flow as it utilises existing road space for the movement of vehicles and buses.

The proposed weekday and weekend No Stopping hours are expected to improve journey times which reduces congestion and helps road users get to their destination sooner.

The benefits include:

  • improving safety
  • improving traffic flow
  • reducing delays.
