Benefits

  • Promote multi-person travel, including carpooling and bus usage
  • Cater for future growth across Parramatta Road

Features

The new T3 transit lanes will operate from 6am-10am and 3pm-7pm Monday to Friday, in both directions.

T3 transit lanes can only be used by vehicles containing three or more people, buses, taxis, hire cars with HC number plates, motorcycles, bicycles, emergency and fully electric vehicles. Vehicles with fewer than three people can enter a transit lane for a maximum of 100 metres to avoid an obstruction, and to enter or leave Parramatta Road.
