Project information

Background

Polo Flat Road provides access to Cooma’s industrial area and carries a high number of heavy vehicles. The new roundabout will deliver safer journeys for light and heavy vehicles sharing the road. A dedicated right turn lane for motorists turning into Yallakool Road will also be built as part of this upgrade.

How will the work affect you?

Work will start in mid-February and is likely to take around four months to complete.

Work will be carried out on Monday to Friday between 7am and 6pm and on Saturdays between 8am and 1pm.

Traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place during work hours and there may be some lane closures on the Monaro Highway to allow for this work.

Residents and motorists will be notified in advance if access to Polo Flat Road or Yallakool Road is affected.

Motorists are advised to follow the advice and direction of traffic controllers.
