New alternative business parking
The reconfigured kerbside parking on Box Road (west of Taren Point Road) provides an additional 17 angle parking, six of which are 2P parking spaces.
Nine unrestricted parking in Kumulla Road have been converted to 2P parking spaces that operates from 8:30am to 6pm, Monday to Sunday.
New parking restrictions
To further improve the efficiency at the intersections of Taren Point Road with The Boulevarde/Captain Cook Drive and Kingsway, Roads and Maritime introduced new ‘No Parking’ and extended ‘No Stopping’ restrictions to provide additional lane capacity that will improve the traffic throughput at these intersections. Details of the new parking restrictions are available on the September 2018 project update (PDF, 278Kb).
What happens next?
You must not stop or park on a length of road signed as a clearway during its hours of operation. If you park in a clearway during clearway hours, you risk being fined and your vehicle can be towed.
Buses and taxis are allowed to stop on a clearway to drop off or pick up passengers. Emergency vehicles are exempt from clearways restrictions.
To report a vehicle parked in a clearway or if your vehicle has been towed from a clearway, please call Transport Management Centre on 131 700.
