Asphalting work on Oberon Street - Notifications - West Region Projects

Reviewed

Project overview

The NSW Government is funding essential maintenance work between Earl Street and Strathroy Avenue.

Transport for NSW will carry out the work, which includes removing and replacing asphalt on damaged sections of road to provide a smoother surface and improve safety for all road users. We have included a map to show the location of the project.

Work will be carried out between 7am and 6pm from Monday to Friday and is expected to take five days to complete, weather permitting. We will let you know in advance if we need to do any work outside these times.

How will the work affect you?

The work will involve the use of machinery which generates some noise. We will make every effort to minimise noise completing noisier activities earlier in the night and turning off machinery and vehicles when not in use.

Traffic changes

There will be some temporary traffic changes to ensure the work zone is safe.

Traffic control, single lane closures and reduced speed limits will be in place for the safety of motorists and workers. Motorists are advised to allow additional travel time.

Please keep to speed limits and follow the direction of traffic control and signs. For the latest traffic updates, you can call 132 701, visit livetraffic.com or download the Live Traffic NSW App.

Covid-19

Work crews will be adhering to strict Covid-19 protocols with approved Covid-19 safety plans in place for each shift. The program of work is subject to change in response to any further government restrictions that may be put in place to manage Covid-19.
